Benjamin Haris, Turkish/Kittitian banker
Benjamin Haris, born on 25 July 1974, is a Tukish/Kittitian banker and entrepreneur with a distinguished career spanning banking, fintech, and aviation finance.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Banking Administration, a Postgraduate qualification in Digital Banking and Fintech, and a PhD in Cryptocurrency as a Payment Solution, showcasing his deep expertise in both traditional and next-generation finance.
Benjamin’s career began at the Libyan Foreign Bank, where he served as Chief Financial Officer (1999–2007). He then became Shareholder and CEO of Merchant Saving and Loan Limited in Auckland (2007–2010), while also serving as Adviser to MAF Finance, where he pioneered the first travel card with MAF Finance and Visa MENA.
From 2011 to 2016, he was Chairman and Shareholder of Invest Bank Georgia, before founding the Caucasus Trust Bank in 2017, reinforcing his reputation as a visionary in banking and capital markets.
Parallel to his banking career, Benjamin has been closely involved with Standard Chartered Bank in building and managing commercial aircraft leasing portfolios.
He is also a key partner at Avex Aviation, a British-based aviation trading company operating in the United Arab Emirates. Under his leadership, Avex Aviation has secured a Dubai Civil Aviation license for aircraft trading, positioning it as a trusted player in global aviation finance and aircraft transactions.
Most recently, Benjamin has joined the Royal Investment Bank of Kelantan, where he continues to drive innovation at the intersection of banking, fintech, and aviation finance.
